Jessica's triple threat performing arts training began at the age of 3, and continued throughout her childhood in her native Austin, Texas. It progressed through college, completing the University of Arizona's prestigious BFA program Magna Cum Laude, while also successfully completing a second degree (also Magna Cum Laude) in Italian.
Her first years of a professional NYC theatre career were filled with touring (West Side Story, Sophisticated Ladies, Grease), as well as projects “in town”, such as the much talked about stage version of the film Jeffrey with Bryan Batt (Lincoln Center). She also began assisting, casting, directing, choreographing, and learning the ropes “on the other side of the table”.
A surprise phonecall from the major tv network in Italy, with a proposal to originate a role in a hot new sitcom, changed her path significantly. This show, Camera Cafe', became an explosive tv hit, with a feverish following like nothing Italian television had seen for years. Jessica then set up homebase in Italy, where she could entertain the many new opportunities being offered her. Camera Cafe's stellar popularity took Jessica right along with it: the first season she won recognition from Italy's Accademia dei Telefilm (Best Lead Actress of the Television Season (“Emmy” equivalent)), and has been one of the most in-demand, young, A-list celebrities in the country ever since.
Jessica's formidable range of acting work can be seen in network dramas, sitcoms, mini-series, and films, and is complimented by a some carefully selected primetime hosting projects, as well.
Most recently she has been busy filming Piloti (“Pilots”): an original sitcom which follows the daily lives and adventures of an airline crew. Jessica stars in it as the adorable but bumbling stewardess: “Josephine”. Piloti is on the air daily in perpetual rerun--a response to unprecedented demand for her beloved character, who has quickly become an entertainment industry icon.
In addition to these projects, Jessica is a favorite of the press and of all
corners of the industry. She can be seen constantly featured in cameos on every genre of tv project, as a special guest on talk shows, in magazines, on the radio, on the red carpet, in large-scale celebrity endorsement ad campaigns, and as a participant in promotional and charity events. Jessica was also the recipient of the Italian Parliament's prestigious “Italy-USA Cultural Ambassadorship” in recognition of her bi-continental acting career, and for the rare positive role-model celebrity she has become.
